husband

My husband is using chat rooms. For what?

Dear Lynda,

I recently found out my husband is into chatting on audio/video chat rooms. I also found a folder in our computer marked ‘chat’. On opening this I found about 25 folders, each marked with a different female name. My husband had deleted the info inside so I have no way of determining what was in there.

What could possibly have been in those folders? I am not into either computers or chatting and this is a cause for major headaches for me. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dear Unhappy,

There could have been anything in those folders, but the most likely things could be the chat sessions or even photographs of the person he was speaking to. Really, all I can do is speculate. The only way that you are going to know for your is to speak to your husband about it.

The anonymity that the internet provides to many married men and women is causing havoc in our already degenerating marriages. This can only be combated by a reunification of peoples in the marriage arrangement. This means the reintegration of values such as honesty, trust and moral boundaries.

I personally am very concerned about such behaviour on the internet. Hopefully, some open-hearted, honest discussion will bring out that he was harmlessly saving some chat sessions with friends.

As the internet offers an entirely different world for a partner to enter to, try to enter into it together so that you are both associating in this ‘virtual’ world as a couple. Now is not the time for him to be ‘surfing’ alone.
